So I was sitting here thinking “I really need to write up a blog entry…what should I write about?”. A renovation idea? Naw. Politics? No, I’ve already stirred up enough there. Some upcoming event in the area? Maybe, but I want to write up something people will find interesting. Then I came across an article, and it hit me. The Most Expensive House Ever Sold. I read about it, I looked at the pictures, and you know what I found? When you have a ludicrous amount of money, you can build just about anything you ever dreamed of! Take a look:

I get emails from the Royal Canadian Mint all the time, Amy and I have a small, but personal coin collection, and I enjoy looking at all the kinds of coins that the mint creates. Canada has some of the most unique collectable coins in the world…we were the first to add printed colour to circulating coins, the first to make glow in the dark coins, the first to create coins that incorporate glass (which are so cool looking!), and the list goes on.
BUT…check out this newest coin that the mint has created. (more…)

8 Things to do to Prepare your Home for Sale

Of course you’re going to call me when it’s time to sell your home, right? And when I get there, I’ll be going over these things anyways. However, it never hurts to be prepared and it’s not hard to get a jump on things. When we sell your home, we’re looking to maximize the value, and minimize the time spent on the market. Knowing this, it only makes sense to follow these steps. Let’s get started! (more…)

Lots happened in 2015, whether you’re discussing world news, domestic politics, economy, and personal movement from a lot of people. It was a fantastic year for some, a slow year for others, and a painful year for a few. But 2015 is behind us now, and it’s time to look towards 2016! Part of my job is to speculate things to come in the market and advise people when it’s a good time to make their move. Guess what I’m about to say? (more…)

It’s way too early to start talking Christmas, I know, however there are stores gearing up for it already, and believe it or not, there are people that start decorating their homes by now. Ok, I’m not here to judge that…if you want to go all Griswall on the neighbourhood, that’s entirely up to you (good luck with those hydro prices this year though…led bulbs will be your friends!). What I do need to discuss is those people who want to decorate AND are trying to sell at the same time. What to do?? (more…)

In the aftermath of a federal election, lots of conversations have been spurred. Some hopeful, some fearful. I’ve spoken with some that are overjoyed, and I’ve heard hushed voices warning of dire things to come. It was one conversation that sticks out in my mind though, and it’s one that I want to share (paraphrased, of course, and without naming names)…
Whether you support the Liberals or not, that is the party that as of November 4 will lead our country with a majority government. The voice of Canada has spoken, and it has done so with (more…)

Even though I’ve embraced the title of geek, I haven’t done any blogging about it. That’s going to change today. More and more, so many of us are working on the go, which means that we need access to information and files that might be stored on different devices. Enter cloud storage. (more…)

It’s that time of year again! Who doesn’t love a county fair? No one, that’s who! And here in Simcoe, we have one of the biggest county fairs Ontario has to offer, the Norfolk County Fair. It has everything you would expect a great county fair to have…carnival rides, carnival games, carnies, exhibitors, carnival food (can anybody say deep fried butter and chocolate covered bacon?). There are nightly events, like the annual crash derby, the tractor pull, and there’s always a musical performance.
If you’re lucky, you’ll spot (more…)
