norfolk county fair 2015It’s that time of year again!  Who doesn’t love a county fair?  No one, that’s who!  And here in Simcoe, we have one of the biggest county fairs Ontario has to offer, the Norfolk County Fair.  It has everything you would expect a great county fair to have…carnival rides, carnival games, carnies, exhibitors, carnival food (can anybody say deep fried butter and chocolate covered bacon?).  There are nightly events, like the annual crash derby, the tractor pull, and there’s always a musical performance.

If you’re lucky, you’ll spot (more…)

YouTubeYouTube really has become an incredible repository for information.  It used to be a place for people who owned a camcorder and a cat to upload really cute (read stupid) things, with the occasional just as irrelevant/sometimes entertaining short clip.  Oh, and music.

Shortbread3949-thumb-596x350-181906It’s getting cold outside, but with Christmas coming up you know you’re still running around town trying to catch up.  And I know you’re hungry.

There’s a little restaurant downtown Simcoe that you have to check out…fresh cut fries, perfectly grilled paninis, and oven baked cookies.  Oh, the cookies!  On the corner of Robinson street and Kent is a place called Kaley’s where the owner will serve you with a smile as warm as the food.  It’s a cute little atmosphere and convenient location where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, or sit down for a fantastic lunch.  On your way out, don’t forget to grab a dozen freshly baked cookies, or check out the amazing custom cakes she does!

For the past several years I’ve now helped many people buy into their dreams of owning real estate.  There are a lot of people reluctant to buy, however, and I’ve heard a ton of reasons as to why.  Many of the reasons are sound, and I would never dispute anyone’s personal reasons on why they wouldn’t invest in real estate…well, some of the time, anyways!  One thing I want to clear up is the phrase “now is not a good time to buy…”

The question I have to that is why not?  I personally think that it’s always a good time to buy!  Now before anyone gets defensive on me here, let me explain.  It’s all about time.  Not timing, but time itself.  I just read an artical writen by Paul Kondakos who mirrored most of what I have been saying to people, so I’m going to reiterate some of the key thoughts we seem to share.

Today, when thinking of selling your home, there are a ton of options to you.  Cropping up lately are several companies who make claims that they will make it easy for you to do it yourself, but really how easy is it?
